The Firegathering is not a profit driven organisation, it has no corporate sponsors and is run almost entirely by volunteers. All proceeds go towards developing the festival and minimising it's impact on the environment.

As a volunteer you will be offered a free ticket, a free hot meal once a day, cheap booze at the bar, access to crew only areas and the satisfaction of knowing you are helping to develop an amazing festival aiming to make smiles, not money.

You will be expected to work around 10 hours over the course of the event (that’s just over 3 hours a day if you come along Friday, Saturday and Sunday, even less if you come for longer). Some positions are rewarded with fewer hours (e.g. night shifts count double). More info on the coefficients will be described below, and all work will be confirmed well in advance.
